Crochet stitch multiple calculator: include the edges
Enter the stitch count you want, the repeat and fixed edges. See the nearest counts that fit, then add any separate turning chains.
Stitch counts that fit the repeat
38 stitches: chain 39 (38 + 1 for turning).
44 stitches: chain 45 (44 + 1 for turning).
Stitches = whole repeats × 6 + 2 edge stitches. The starting chain adds 1 more for turning.
Use this only when the pattern’s multiple refers to counted stitches. A foundation-chain multiple can already contain its turning chains; do not add them twice.
Use the result with your pattern
The result contains whole repeats plus fixed edges. It does not decide whether a pattern’s extra chains count as stitches. Read the first row before choosing your foundation count.
