Affiliate disclosure
How this site is funded, in plain terms, and what that funding is not allowed to change.
How this site makes money
Crochet.guide is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme that pays a commission on qualifying purchases. When you follow one of our supply links and buy something, Amazon pays us a small share of that order. You pay the same price either way.
Our Associates tracking identifier is everydaypickguide-20, and it belongs to this site alone. On this site the Amazon link is the product photograph: when a photo loads, it is the thing you click. Every page that carries one also carries a plain disclosure line beside the first photo, and the link is marked sponsored.
The "See Clover", "See Lion Brand" and similar buttons go to the maker's own product page. We have not joined those programmes, so those links earn us nothing and we deliberately do not mark them as if they did. The same is true of LoveCrafts, Yarnspirations, Knit Picks, Tulip and Furls.
We run no display advertising, we sell nothing ourselves, and nobody has ever paid to appear in the supplies list or to be mentioned in a lesson.
What a commission cannot do here
Nothing on this site is listed, ordered or recommended by what it pays. The supplies list is ordered by category and the lessons cite the Craft Yarn Council's published standards for hook sizes, yarn weights and care symbols. The code that filters and orders supplies never reads a commission, tracking or affiliate field.
We do not test products and we do not claim to. Every specification comes from a maker's own page or a published standard, with its review date recorded, and where a maker does not publish something the page says so rather than guessing. Readour approach for the rules in full.
Photographs and source links
Product photographs are served at page load from Amazon's authorised product image API. They expire and are removed by the page when their permitted period ends. A source citation is not an affiliate link: links to maker specification pages and to the Craft Yarn Council earn us nothing and exist so you can check what we have said.
The yarn photograph on the home page is generated, not a photograph of anything we own or made. It is captioned as an illustration and it is recorded inour approach.
If something here looks wrong
Tell us. A wrong hook size or care symbol wastes someone's yarn. Use thecontact page and name the supply, the detail and where you saw the correct figure.
